Description
This script is a Readers Theater style skit perfect for learning about our Catholic Saints! Students will learn about a few stories from the life of Saint John Bosco in an easy to read play. Saint John Bosco was an Italian saint who started a school for boys and worked especially with boys who were homeless or imprisoned. I've used these skits with 4th through 11th grade, and all the students love the chance to joke around, use different accents, and tell the story of a saint.
Saint Plays are a quick, easy lesson! They are ready to use: print and hand out to students. They can be used as a formal play--with students practicing and preparing to share with the class or at a parent night. The play can also be used as an in class activity to introduce the story of a Catholic Saint. Students can be active and working cooperatively as they plan and prepare the play. There is also a worksheet included with each saint to finish the activity with a lesson and review.
The saint story also comes with a coloring page and a printable worksheet that the students can complete after performing the skit.
